Considering the Steelcase Walkstation is limited to no more than 2mph you won't have to worry about running, or even jogging, while using the computer. The idea is to walk at a slow, comfortable pace. All of the comments that I've seen from people who have tried them, even those who were just taking it for a test spin, say that it's very natural to type and read at speeds up to 1.5 mph, some have no problems at 2.

I'm hoping to get something like this but I can't justify Steelcase's current prices so I may cobble together my own.

Has anyone actually bought one of those? Like everyone else said, it doesn't look very convenient/work-friendly. It's a nice concept, but will never catch on. Plus, most people probably don't have the room for that in their home or office, so not really anywhere to put it.

I'm not sure I could type and jog at the same time. A slow walk would probably work.

This is a really interesting idea but personally I don't see it being too practical. Running while typing while staring at a computer screen seems like a pretty difficult task but at least they're making an attempt at incorporating physical activity into the workplace.

Oh, I want this! But I do so love to lie in bed while on the computer. Hmmm.
