Buy A Solar Flashlight - Get One Free For Charity

At least 1.6 billion people all over the world live without electric lights, and that’s “a significant underestimation,” says one of the top researchers in solar-powered illumination, Evan Mills of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. This flashlight is water and shock resistant, and the light-emitting diodes are powered by nickel-cadmium batteries. They take 10 hours to recharge, using a built-in solar panel. The difference between this light and those sold at hardware stores is that when you buy one online, one is automatically given to the charity of your choice or our troops in Afghanistan or Iraq. So you can go green and make a donation at the same time. It’s win win!

I really like todays solar tech…It really is the wave of the future. This is a great gizmo and as the technology improves it will become even more viable for all to use.

I don’t know what’s nicer, the light or the charity effort.
Interestingly, is there also an option to charge it from a regular wall plug? Or is it solar-only?
