This game station would make a great gift for a teenage girlfriend or daughter or even young at heart, more mature women (like me!). This pretty piece is a bluetooth enabled interactive gaming console disguised as a necklace!

To use it, you simply detach the crystal pendant from the necklace and attach it to your game station. You can then communicate with your friends that also have the Crystal gaming station. Cool fun!

Since we don’t all have Olympic size pools for swimming laps, this device will make you feel like you swam a few and then some. It’s easily hooked up and will create a current to swim against which can be as fast as 6 miles per hour for a hefty work out. Of course you may just want to go ahead and invest in a big pool since the price tag of this piece of equipment is $4000! For $3,695 you can go with the Exerswim which is very similar. Either way it’s an easy way to get in shape and stay that way, if you have a small pool and a large pocket book.

Back in the day, the electric company used to allow us kids to take their wooden spools that they wrapped their wires around, when they no longer needed them. We would cut a hole in the middle, making a little cubby hole as the inside was hollow. We would then have a stackable fort. Now David Medding has designed a piece of furniture made from these wooden reels. By the looks of things the chair looks pretty comfortable; kind of like a variation on the Adirondack chair. The reclining positions can even be changed with the included rope stops and it’s a rocking chair. But at about $400 chair it’s a little too pricey for me. It’s is however, a great use for an otherwise dicarded item, and is another fine example of recycling. Perhaps if these chairs became more main stream the price would go down?

Typical paper plates contain chemical binders and fillers. That’s not exactly environmentally friendly. When the plates get hot as we add food, what chemicals are being released into the food we eat? Makes you wonder doesn’t it?

These compostable paper plates truly are green in every way and exemplify recycling as it should be. A substance that’s going to be waste can become a useful and safe product. This fully biodegradable product is made up of three layers of leaves and water. That’s it! Tests show the plates take about three months to degrade leaving no unsafe residue. Just throw them in your compost pile.

Verterra is the innovative company that developed this product and they deserve many kudos for their biodegradable recyclable innovations! It can be done and industry needs to be doing more of it!

Be eco compatible with this stylish cooking pot. Make green living a part of your life by doing your part in small ways around the house. How is this green you ask? This eco-cooking pot saves on energy and water usage, also making this pot suitable for camping when water is harder to come by. How does it do this? You simply prepare two or three separately boiled foods at once in the same cook pot sharing the same electricity and water. Otherwise you would have used double or triple the water and double or triple the electricity to do the same thing in two or three separate pots. This is a very simple concept that pays off environmentally and financially. Small choices can make a big difference especially if everyone else adopts them.

Paper shredders are all the rage in this day and age of privacy protection. Since this shredder is so small you can take it with you and shred away whatever evidence you don’t want to leave behind. I was actually thinking of using mine to make litter for the rats as well (no that’s not what I call my kids! One of my son’s has two rats and they are cute.
This paper shredder was sent to me by ZisZor! to review and it does what it’s supposed to do and the handy plastic bag that comes with it attaches easily to the shredder so you don’t make a mess. If you are in the market for a mini shredder, check this one out. The photos are pretty much self explanatory. Note the cute letter opener it comes with.

The new Polaroid POGO is innovative mobile printer technology at it’s best. There are no computer connections needed. You simply print directly from your camera or call phone. Best of all, it uses no ink! The prints are water-resistant, tear-proof and smudge-proof. Utilizing special technology called ZINK, which appropriately enough stands for zero ink, the dyes are embedded in the paper and are activated by heat pulses from the printer. An ingenious idea!

You simply use the USB cord from your camera or transfer images wirelessly to the printer via your Bluetooth enabled call phone. What could be easier?

Of course if you are in the market for a more traditional mobile printer, there’s always the HP Deskjet Mobile Printer which isn’t as small but gets the job done, albeit with those expensive ink cartridges.

Work is being done on the development of affordable hydrogen cars and it is being met with some success. Even the oil companies are getting in on the action so this surly means hydrogen may be the wave of the future. Royal Dutch Shell has a hydrogen subsidiary.

Honda is leasing the FCX Clarity to a limited number of people and Toyota has the HCHV-adv in the works. This car will get 516 miles on one tank of hydrogen.

Later this year they plan on leasing them in Japan. The Toyota uses a nickel metal hydride battery as opposed to the lithium ion batteries that other manufacturers are using. Even though these cars will be on the road by the end of the year, they cost of the batteries is large so more research will have to be done to find ways to make them more affordable.

Meanwhile the biggest hurdle of all is developing the infrastructure needed to fuel the potential millions of hydrogen fueled cars that could be on the road someday. The National Hydrogen Association says that 70 percent of all Americans could be put within 2 miles of a hydrogen fueling station for about $10 to $15 billion. That’s half the cost of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System (in today’s dollars) and about what we’re spending each month in Iraq. Shell says it’s more like 20 billion.
