It’s a granulated copper and zinc mixture in which an electro-chemical reaction takes place where, electrons are transferred between copper and zinc molecules, and new elements are created. But does it keep the water cold? I love the design but I don’t think it would fit in my fridge! I have a Brita filter I use now. Not nearly as cool looking but probably more functional. I have to have my water cold (and clean.)

Activated carbon does the job smoothly. It’s nice to know they are mixing several purifying systems.
