Bookcase in the Stairs
If you have space issues in your home or apartment and love books you probably don’t have room for book shelves. I love books and would like to have a whole room devoted to my library but my kids would like to keep their rooms! I came across this neat solution to book shelves that I thought was very clever.

Here is a set of functional stairs that use the typically wasted space under the steps to store books. Added shelves on the side make these stairs a totally uplifting experience!

Notice the skylight at the top? Great idea.

This is brilliant! I keep meaning to buy a new bookcase to handle my overflow, but maybe I don’t need one after all. Now, how do I get someone to build one for me?

Kathy, that’s a good question. I would imagine that an innovative architecht would be willing to design and build one.

Another cool idea! This would also force me to keep my bookcases more orderly since they’d be out in the open.
